Bridge2Bridge Swim - 20th January 2024

Mitchell River, Bairnsdale

Come and join us on the Mitchell River at Bairnsdale for the return of this classic swim event, a 2.5km open water swim from the Lind Bridge to the Howitt Park Rail Bridge. Not confident doing it solo? Create a team of 2 to 3 people!

The Course

The event starts upstream at the Lind Bridge, Wy Yung. Swimmers then head downstream for 2.5 km, going under the Howitt Park Rail Trail Bridge and finishing at the rowing jetty. 

Bridge2Bridge Solo Option 

• Ages 17+
• The full 2.5km distance must be completed individually.
  

Bridge2Bridge Team Option

• Ages 13+
• Teams of 2-3 must complete the full 2.5km distance in relay format. There are 3 legs in total and a swimmer can complete more than 1 leg.
• Leg 1: Lind Bridge - Dog Hole (600m)
• Leg 2: Dog Hole - Port of Barinsdale (1000m)
• Leg 3: Port of Bairnsdale - Howitt Park Rowing Jetty (900m)

*Age is at 31.12.2023

Other Info

• Swim caps must be worn (preferrably a bright colour for visibility).
• Wetsuits are allowed.
• Swimmers will need to arrange their own transport between the start/finish.
